SPEL STORMCEPTOR™ CLASS 1


The SPEL STORMCEPTOR™ CLASS 1 is a stormwater treatment device utilising quiescent conditions to hydro-dynamically separate sediment and hydrocarbons from stormwater. Consisting of a flame trap, two treatment chambers, an internal coalescer, and internal bypass inside a GRP chamber, the Stormceptor provides a guaranteed <5ppm hydrocarbon effluent concentration, in accordance with BS EN858.1 2006.

 

A variety of flow rates and pipe diameters can be accommodated for a range of commercial, industrial, hardstand and high risk sites. The SPEL Stormceptor Class 1 function ensures there is no scouring or re-suspension of separated pollutants. This makes it suitable for flood and tidal zones. The Stormceptor has undergone full-scale testing for hydrocarbon, suspended solids and total phosphorous removal at UniSA.

It is the separator of choice for Rio Tinto washdown bays.
